Hydrogen Infrastructure — Pipelines
Existing and announced hydrogen pipelines with length, capacity, diameter and pressure.
Dedicated hydrogen pipelines are concentrated among a handful of industrial gas majors serving refining and chemical clusters.
Diameter, pressure and material selection determine hydrogen embrittlement risk. Retrofitting natural-gas pipelines is not free — expect derating and revalidation costs.
Cluster-based backbones (HyPerLink-type) are the first economic step. Continent-scale grids follow only when demand densities justify them.
Ownership of existing right-of-way is the moat — new entrants should partner or acquire, not build.
